Light-bodied red wine
The typical variety of Villány wine region. Smooth, silky and really fruity red wine in which the primary nose and aroma of the grape dominate. Easily drinkable, fresh, pleasant red wine. Do not age it for long time since it is best to drink fresh.
Light, 'new-wine' characteristic. Fruitiness with strawberry and sweet flavours. In the sip freshness, lightness and youthfulness appear, with fine toast aftertaste at the end. Due to the vintage, the barrel ageing was shorter this year, this way we got the usual round, light fruity characteristic, why we love Portugieser.
Food pairing: with liver, any tomato-based Italian food, any paprika-based Hungarian food (goulash, chicken paprika)
Medium-bodied red wine
The winery’s most popular wine. Made from 7 different grape varieties from the most beautiful vineyards in the Villány wine region, a cuvee of Merlot, Pinot Noir, Portugieser, Kékfrankos and Syrah built upon a base of Cabernet. It is matured in large oak barrels (70%) and used barrique barrels (30%) for 12 months.
A wine characterized by its medium dark intensity and colour verging on the garnet-red paired with lightly spiced, red-fleshed fruits. The bitterness of the sour cherry with a light chocolate aftertaste can be sensed in its flavour.
